Property Main Details

Enter the property details as applicable. Various fields on the Properties screen are mandatory and must be entered.

 

  • ID - Acquaint will automatically assign the property a unique ID when the details have been saved.

  • Owner - select the Contact who owns the property.

  • Postcode

  • Property Name

  • Street No/Name

  • Locality

  • Town

  • Region - In edit mode click on the GEO button to view the Property's GEO coding Map, if the position is not correct you can use the arrow buttons to adjust the position accordingly. Click Save to save the position. Under the Street View tab you can view and adjust the Street View. Select the Suppress on web site check box if you do not want the image to be displayed. Use the Camera Position slider to adjust the angle.

  • Category/Tenure - select the Category/Tenure

  • Status - select from Available, Under Offer, Completed, Not Available, Valuation or Archived.

  • Type - select the property type from the lookup table

  • Bedrooms

  • Permitted Occupiers - used for the Lettings Centre (lettings properties only)

  • Price Prefix - select from Price, Guide Price, Offers in Excess of, Offers in the Region of, Price on Application, Price Reduced, Price From, Fixed Price, Offers Over, Off Plan, Offers Invited or Shared Ownership.

  • Price - enter the Price field to the marketing price agreed. Clicking on the Sold Prices will take you to the www.mouseprice.com website to view historic sale prices in the properties.

  • Deposit Info (lettings properties) shows values for Holding Deposit, Remaining Deposit, and Total Deposit.

  • Area - select the Area this can be used for Matching Applicants.

  • Development - if the property is part of a property development select the Property Development from the lookup table, this can be used for Matching Applicants.

  • Viewing Arrangements- this defaults to Agent or Occupier but can be changed.

  • Viewing Notes - further details can be added regarding the viewings e.g. Viewings after 6pm and beware of the dog. This will appear against Appointments.


Pictures - Adding Pictures

The usual method of adding pictures to the Property is by transferring them from a digital camera.

  1. Plug your digital camera into a USB port on your PC.

  2. Click on the Add button to browse to the folder located on your camera and the Picture Management screen will be displayed.

  3. Select the photo you wish to use and double click on it.


 Editing Pictures

  1. To edit the image software by right click on it and choose the Edit button. Double-clicking on an image will also display the Edit Picture screen. The details of the image will be displayed including file path and size.

  2. Editing Options provides scales to adjust the levels or rotate the image. The Reset button reverts the image back to it's original format.

  3. Click Save to apply the changes.


  • It may be advisable to add a Watermark to your images.

  • Try and use landscape pictures (not portrait) as these will work best on web sites.

  • When entering prices use keystrokes short cuts to make it quicker. For example, type "100K" and this will format as "£100,000", type "1M" and this will format as "£1,000,000


Attaching Floor Plans

Two types of Floor Plan can be assigned. Click on the drop-down list and choose the floor plan.

  • The Floor Plan for Print - attach images to be used for your printed material such as brochures. Higher quality floor plans can be used permitting file types of .GIF, .JPG, .JPEG, .TIF or .WMF .

  • The Floor Plans for Web expect lower quality floor plans . If the floor plans file sizes is too large Acquaint will automatically adjust the file size. This option allows a .PDF to be attached with users can download. It allows for file types of .GIF, .JPG, .TIF or .PDF

 

Viewing Arrangements and Viewing Notes can be used to indicate who will carry out viewings and any special requirements . This information will be displayed on the Diary screen when booking Appointments.
