📘 Journal Screen Overview

The Journal screen provides a detailed audit trail of key events related to properties, including which user initiated each change.

Note: The Journal currently applies only to property records.

🧭 Accessing the Journal

You can open the Journal screen from:

Main Tab → More → Journal – to view all property-related events
Individual Property Record → Journal Button – to view events specific to that property

📋 Journal Entry Details

Each journal entry includes the following information:

Date – when the event occurred
Contact – associated contact (if applicable)
Property – affected property
Type – type of event
Old Value – previous value before the change
New Value – updated value
User – the user who made the change

📝 Recorded Event Types

The Journal tracks the following types of property-related changes:

New Property Added
Property Price Change
Property Board Change
Property Status Change

🔍 Filtering Options

You can refine the Journal view using:

Date Range Fields – to filter by specific time periods
Event Type Dropdown – to filter by the type of recorded event

Available via the Menu button or by right-clicking on the screen:

Find – search for specific text within the journal
Export Grid to Excel – export journal data to a spreadsheet
Refresh – reload the latest journal entries
