Property Status

Each Property is allocated a Status. The following Statuses can be selected:

Valuation

When a Property is added to Acquaint it will be allocated a Status of Valuation allowing you an opportunity to arrange a valuation appointment.

Available

When you have won an instruction and the Property is ready to be marketed and uploaded to the Portals (if using Portal Uploading) set the Status to Available.

Under Offer

A Property will automatically be marked as Under Offer by Acquaint when an Offer is Accepted.

Completed

A Property will automatically be marked as Completed by Acquaint. This happens when an Under Offer Property is given a Completion Date via either the Property Offer or Progression screen.

Not Available

This Status can be used to indicate that you didn't win the instruction or could be used to indicate the Property has been taken off the market but may be re-marketed in the future . When you mark the Property as Not Available a Reason field will appear enabling you to add a Disinstruction Reason.

Archived

Similar to Not Available. This Status can be used to indicate that you didn't win the instruction or that you are no longer dealing with this Property at all. When you mark the Property as Archived a Reason field will appear enabling you to add a Disinstruction Reason.

Archived and Not Available Property Status essentially behave the same but you wish to use each one to differentiate between Properties in different ways.

Instructed

This Status can be used to indicate that the Vendor/Landlord has asked you to proceed with the Sale/Let of their Property. This Status give you the opportunity to get the Property Marketing Details ready before you mark it as Available.

Bank Valuation

This Status can be used for Mortgage and Bank Valuations.

The Property Status is linked to Offers made against a Property e.g. once an Offer has been Accepted the Property will automatically be allocated an Under Offer Status Restrictions on Completed Property Status.

Restrictions to changing completed property status

There are restrictions when manually changing the status of a Completed Sales Property, a message will appear 'You are changing a Completed Sales Property to Available. Are you reselling this Property'. Clicking Yes will display the Resell Property screen. Clicking No will load a System Confirmation prompt.
