📋 Event Log Overview

The Event Log in Acquaint tracks key user actions across the system. It’s a valuable tool for auditing and monitoring activity.

🔐 Accessing the Event Log

Navigate to: Main Menu → More → File → Admin Tools → Event Log

Access is controlled via User Settings. Permissions must be enabled for a user to view the Event Log.

📝 What the Event Log Records

The following types of actions are logged:

  • Deletions

  • Logins

  • Logouts

  • Exports

  • Reports

Each entry includes:

Field

Description

Date

When the action occurred

Table

The database table affected

Type

Type of action (e.g., Delete, Export)

Details

Specifics of the action

User

Who performed the action

🔍 Filtering Options

You can filter log entries by:

  • Date Range

  • Branch

  • User

  • Event Type

📂 Menu Options

From the Menu button, you can:

  • Find specific entries

  • Export Grid to Excel

  • Refresh the log view

🧹 Example: Checking for Deleted Tasks

To check if tasks have been deleted:

  1. Go to File → Admin Tools → Event Log

  2. Set Event Type to Delete

  3. Specify the date range you want to search
