Property Areas

Each Property is allocated a Property Area. This is used to group Properties for the purpose of Applicant Matching e.g. a Applicant may only be interested in Properties in a particular village.

Areas are not specifically linked to Postcodes it is possible to group a number of towns/villages/regions under a single Property Area. The way that Property Areas are configured will depend on the area range your agency covers.

Property Areas can be accessed from File → Configuration → Properties → Property Areas

New Areas can be created at any time and there is no limit to the number of Areas defined. If a new Area is created then existing Contacts will have it included on their Property Requirements tab.

Property Areas can also be grouped to create a hierarchical level setup. There is no limit to the number of levels but an Area can only be linked once.

Example:

  • London

    • Chelsea

    • Kensington

    • Acton

  • Slough

  • Maidenhead

  • Overseas

    • Spain

      • Barcelona

      • Madrid

    • France

      • Paris

      • Lyon

The lookup table supports drag and drop so you can simply drag between Property Areas and Groups when you are setting up your Property Areas.

  • If your web site is designed and hosted by us then Property Areas are automatically Uploaded to your web site and used to group and search on Properties.

  • The Full Description field should be used to describe the area in detail for aiding in web site Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). The Wikipedia (web based free encyclopedia) provides a link to help in this process.
