Linking Properties
Properties can be linked together for the purposes of managing HMOs where you want to advertise each room individually.
When linked the Primary Property (Primary) will be displayed in the title bar of the Property screen. All Linked Properties will appear in Links drop down in the Details #2 section.
For Linked Properties (Link) will be displayed in the title bar of the Property screen (fig.1) . The Primary Property will appear in the Linked To drop down in the Details #2 section (fig 2).
When rent is received for linked properties it will appear against the Primary property on the Landlord's Account.
Similarly, if a Work order is charged to the landlord for one of the rooms the charge will be appear against the Primary Property record on the Landlord's Account.
Linked Properties are ignored from following Home Page reminders:
Electricity Safety Certificate Required
Fire Alarm Required
Gas Sage Certificate Required
Carbon Monoxide Alarm Required
Legionella Risk Assessment Required
Portable Appliance Testing Required
Smoke Alarm Certificate Required
EPC Required (sales and lettings)
When uploading Linked properties, if no EPC is present against the Linked Property the EPC details from the Primary Property will be used.
Any Tenancies against Linked Properties will appear against the Primary Property in the HMO Occupancy screen.
How to link Properties
From the Property (link) that you want to link to (Primary) click Edit
On the Advanced tab click Link To / Unlink
Find the Property, select the Property and click Save
How to unlink Properties
From the Property (link) that you want to unlink Edit
On the Advanced tab click Link To / Unlink
Click Save

The Owner cannot be changed against Linked Properties thus the drop-down arrow is disabled (against the Owner field). The Owner can be changed against the Primary owner and this will also update the linked Properties with the same owner.
