Web Upload

Uploading of Properties occurs automatically every 15 minutes.

By default all Properties with an Available Status will be Uploaded, however the Upload Sales Properties Under Offer and Upload Rental Properties Under Offer options in System Configuration can be set to include Properties with an Under Offer Status.

It is also possible to set specific requirements for each Property. The Web Upload field located on the Main Details tab of the Properties screen offers the following options:

  • Based on Status - the default setting

  • Always Upload- irrespective of Status, the property will be uploaded

  • Never Upload - irrespective of Status, the property will never be uploaded

  • Always Upload As Available - irrespective of Status, the property will be uploaded and show as Available

  • Just My Web Site - the property will only appear on your web site and will not be uploaded to any portals you subscribe to irrespective of their Status .

  • Just to Portals - the property will only appear on your subscribed property portals.

  • Available Until Exchanged - this will upload Sales Properties that are under Offer as available until they have an exchanged date. Optionally this can be set as a global setting in System Configuration.

The Upload process includes the following Property details:

  • Descriptions

  • Price

  • Rooms

  • Directions

  • Pictures

  • Floor Plans

Upload Errors

Records that have errored will automatically be re-added to the upload queue when a User makes the applicable change to the record.

The Web Upload Logs screen can also be accessed from File → Admin Tools → Web Uploads or via the Web Upload Errors Home Page reminder on the System tab.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqu0rC2q3Dg

This screen will display all records that have been uploaded, errored during the upload or are currently in the upload queue. From this screen you can:

  • Reupload this record - this will set the status of the selected record to pending

  • Reupload All records - essentially acts like the old Web Upload form and sets the status to all records to pending. This will also write an event log entry.

  • Reupload Errors - sets the status of all records with an error to pending

Double clicking on a record with an action of Upload in the Web Upload Log screen will load the relevant screen for the record.

Properties will be rejected from the Upload if they have:

  • No Price

  • No Description

  • Status is set not to upload

  • No Tax Band

  • No Local Authority

If a Property does not have a valid Postcode then most Internet Property Portals will reject it.

  •  If the Web Upload does not work it is most likely to be an issue with your Antivirus or Firewall software blocking the FTP transfer (see notes below for details on how to resolve this).

  • Uploading to Internet Property Portals occurs automatically from our web servers at 10:00pm (GMT) each night. A full list of Portals supported can be viewed here.

  • During the Upload process, any Error and Warning Messages will be displayed for Properties that do not meet the minimum upload criteria.

  • Properties will instantly appear on your own web site (if Bright Logic has created your site), whereas portals and social networking sites may take a few hours to update your listings. Typically Properties sent one day should be visible first thing next day.

  • It is possible to upload Sold and Let properties for a set period of days and then let Acquaint automatically remove them from the web.

  • It is also possible to override Acquaints default upload settings i.e. if you have Sold / Let a particularly prestigious property you may always want it to appear on your own web site.

  • Sales Properties that are Under Offer can be uploaded as Available until they have an exchange date. This is a global setting in System Configuration which is defaulted to No. Optionally this can be applied to individual Properties only via a Web Upload status of 'Available until Exchanged'.

  • Making an existing Property Available will update the Marketing Date to the current date and write an entry to the Journal.
