🌐 Uploading Property Details to Web & Portals in Acquaint

Acquaint allows you to upload property details to:

  • Your own website (if hosted by Bright Logic)

  • Subscribed internet property portals

  • Social media platforms

Uploads are automated and customizable to suit your marketing strategy.

🚀 Portal Uploading

Acquaint’s automatic portal uploading system sends your property data to subscribed portals and social networking sites.

  • This is an optional monthly service (pricing available separately)

  • Acquaint supports a wide range of portals—see the full list [here]

  • To set up a new portal:

    • Contact your Account Manager at the portal

    • Inform them that your feed will come from Acquaint

    • They will provide a Feed ID for our Support Team to link your data

🔄 Web Uploads

Property uploads occur automatically every 15 minutes.

By default, only properties marked as Available are uploaded. However, you can adjust settings in System Configuration to include:

  • Sales Properties Under Offer

  • Rental Properties Under Offer

⚙️ Property-Specific Upload Settings

Each property can be configured individually via the Web Upload field on the Main Details tab:

Option

🏡 Upload Content Includes:

  • Descriptions

  • Price

  • Room details

  • Directions

  • Images

  • Floor plans

🚫 Web Upload Exclusions

If you're subscribed to portal uploading, you can exclude specific properties from individual portals such as:

  • Rightmove

  • Zoopla

  • OnTheMarket

  • Gumtree

  • Facebook

  • Twitter

  • Daft.ie

  • PropertyPal

  • Fine & Country

  • And many more...

To exclude a property:

  1. Open the property record

  2. Click the Exclusions button in the Web Upload field

  3. Select the portals to exclude

  4. Click Save

⚠️ Upload Errors & Logs

If a property fails to upload, Acquaint will automatically requeue it once the issue is resolved.

Access the Web Upload Logs via:

  • File → Admin Tools → Web Uploads

  • Or the Web Upload Errors reminder on the System tab

From the log screen, you can:

  • Reupload this record – sets status to pending

  • Reupload all records – resets all to pending and logs the event

  • Reupload errors – resets only errored records to pending

📌 Double-clicking a record with an "Upload" action opens the relevant property screen.

❌ Common Upload Rejection Reasons

Properties may be rejected if they lack:

  • Price

  • Description

  • Valid status for upload

  • Tax band

  • Local authority

  • Valid postcode (required by most portals)

🛡️ If uploads fail entirely, check your antivirus or firewall settings—FTP transfers may be blocked.

⏰ Upload Timing & Visibility

  • Portal uploads occur nightly at 10:00 PM (GMT) from Acquaint’s servers

  • Your own website (if hosted by Bright Logic) updates instantly

  • Portals and social media may take a few hours to reflect changes

  • Properties sent today typically appear by the next morning

🗓️ Sold & Let Properties

You can configure Acquaint to:

  • Display Sold/Let properties for a set number of days

  • Automatically remove them afterward

  • Override default settings for prestige listings to keep them visible longer

📅 Under Offer Visibility

Sales properties marked as Under Offer can be shown as Available until exchanged:

  • This is a global setting in System Configuration (default: No)

  • Can also be applied per property via the Web Upload status

Updating a property to Available will reset its Marketing Date to today and log the change in the Journal. If the Web Upload does not work it is most likely to be an issue with your Antivirus or Firewall software blocking the FTP transfer (see notes below for details on how to resolve this)
