Disinstruction Reasons

Each Property is allocated a Disinstruction Reason when the Owner (Vendor or Landlord) removes the Property from the market. When you change the Property Status to Not Available or Archived a Property Disinstruction

New Disinstruction Reasons can be created at any time and there is no limit to the number of them defined. This can be created in File -> Configuration -> Properties -> Disinstruction Reasons. A Follow-up Interval can be specified against the Disinstruction Reason, this period will be used when automatically creating a follow-up task.

When a Property is Disinstructed a follow-up Task can also be created to contact the Owner at a future date to see if the situation has changed. Select the Reason and a follow up task will be automatically created. Click Save.

Acquaint automatically creates a number of default Disinstruction Reasons:

  • Unknown

  • Withdrawn from Market

  • Poor Service

  • Lack of Interest

  • Instructed Another Agent

  • On Hold

The Disinstruction Reason can be used as a Report Filter to select Properties

If you are frequently loosing properties or want to understand your disinstruction Reasons, run the Property Disinstruction Report from Reports to provide analysis on this.
