Set Tenancy to Tenant Leaving

🚪 Tenant Leaving: Process Overview

If a tenant is leaving—or has already left, whether by agreement, without agreement, or by absconding—you can update the tenancy status accordingly.

📍 How to Access

To initiate this action:

• Right-click on the tenancy from the Tenancy List, or

• Navigate to the Tenancies screen via either the Property or Contacts screens

🔄 What Happens When You Set Tenant Leaving

Selecting Tenant Leaving will:

• Prompt you to remarket the property, if appropriate

• Automatically update the Tenancy Status to Tenant Leaving

• Trigger a Tenancies – Tenants Leaving reminder on the Home Page under the Lettings section

💬 Next Steps

Once the status is updated, you can:

• Review the tenant’s account

• Decide whether to pursue any outstanding payments or write them off
