If a tenancy has already started—such as in the case of a management take-on or you're a new client importing existing tenancy data—follow the guide below to ensure accurate setup.

Entering tenancies correctly ensures:

  • Accurate tenancy start and end dates

  • Reliable account and payment information

  • Timely reminders for inspections and reviews

🔍 Step 1: Tenancy Type

Is the tenancy Statutory Periodic?

✅ YES – Statutory Periodic

Example: A 6-month tenancy that has rolled into a statutory periodic agreement.

❌ NO – Fixed Term

Example: A 24-month fixed-term tenancy. Ensure the end date is set beyond today by adjusting the tenancy duration accordingly.

It's important to make sure the end date of the Tenancy ends beyond today, do this by adjusting the Tenancy duration accordingly

🔄 Fixed Term to Statutory Periodic

Example: A 24-month fixed-term tenancy transitioning into a statutory periodic agreement.
