📱 Understanding QR Codes in Acquaint

QR Code (short for Quick Response Barcode) is a type of two-dimensional matrix barcode that can be scanned using dedicated QR readers or smartphones equipped with a reader app. The code consists of black squares arranged on a white background and can store various types of information—such as text, URLs, or contact details.


📈 Why Use QR Codes?

QR Codes are increasingly common in marketing materials because they offer a fast, convenient way for users to access information. With a quick scan, users can:

  • Visit websites

  • Save contact details

  • View property information

  • Access promotional content

When scanned with a smartphone app, the embedded URL opens directly in the browser.


🏡 Property QR Codes in Acquaint

Acquaint automatically generates a unique QR Code for each property. These codes can be included in printed materials via mail merge fields or bookmarks, and are readable even from a distance—making them ideal for use on Window Cards.

Each Property QR Code typically includes:

  • Property address

  • Number of bedrooms

  • A direct web link to the listing


🔧 Accessing and Using Property QR Codes

QR Codes are created automatically when a property is added. To access them:

  1. Open the Property record

  2. Navigate to the Advanced tab

  3. Locate the QR Code section

From here, you can:

  • Copy the QR Code to your clipboard

  • Print the QR Code for physical use


➕ Creating Custom QR Codes

To generate additional one-off QR Codes:

  1. Go to the Marketing Tools tab

  2. Click the QR Code Generator icon

  3. Enter your desired text (e.g., promotional message or URL)

  4. Click Create

  5. Use Copy or Print to export the QR Code

These custom codes can be pasted into other software packages or printed for use in flyers, brochures, or signage.

To scan QR Codes, users can download a reader app from their device’s app store. Here are a few popular options:

For Android Devices:
