🏷️ QR Code Generation in Acquaint

Acquaint automatically generates a QR Code for each property. These codes can be printed or copied for use in marketing materials, documents, or other software platforms. You can also create custom one-off QR Codes for specific purposes.

⚙️ Accessing the QR Code Generator

To create a custom QR Code:

1. Go to the More tab in the ribbon menu

2. Click the QR Code Generator icon under the Miscellaneous group

🧾 Creating a QR Code

1. In the Text field, enter the content you want encoded

   • Example: For the best sales & lettings software, visit www.acquaintcrm.co.uk

2. Click Create

   • The QR Code will appear in the QR Code field

3. Use the following options:

   • Copy: Copies the QR Code to your clipboard for use in other applications

   • Print: Sends the QR Code directly to your printer

📄 Adding QR Codes to Word Templates

QR Codes must be inserted into templates using a specific method to ensure the image appears correctly (rather than just the file path). There are two recommended approaches:

🔖 Method 1: Using a Bookmark

1. Open the Word template in Microsoft Word

2. Go to the Insert tab and select Bookmark

3. In the Bookmark name field, type QRCode and click Add

🧩 Method 2: Using a Table and Field Code

1. Open the Word template in Microsoft Word

2. Insert a 1x1 table

3. Inside the table cell, press Ctrl + F9 to insert field brackets {}

4. Click between the brackets and type QR Code

5. Save the template

💡 Using a table gives you greater control over the size and positioning of the QR Code within your document.
