Multiple Properties

In Acquaint you have one Landlord record and all of that Landlord's Properties are listed against this one Contact record. To add Multiple Properties listed against a single Landlord record follow the instructions for Adding a Property and just repeat this for each additional Property.

Acquaint will treat each Property financial account separately.

A Landlord can have one Bank Account listed for all Properties in his portfolio, alternatively you can set up a different Bank Account for each Property if needed, or group some of the Landlord’s Properties together and pay into specific bank accounts.

If a Landlord instructs you to use funds from one of their Properties to cover a repair for another you can Transfer between the different Properties accounts. Go to the Landlord record → Account → right click → Transfer Funds.

In the screen that opens pick the Accounts you want the money allocated from and to by selecting the Landlord’s Properties. Put the amount including VAT. Write in the notes that you want to appear on the statement, i.e. ‘Funds transferred from 1 High Street for boiler service on Flat 1 Windrush House’ these notes will show on the Statements for both Properties.

Click Save and the transaction is complete.
