HMRC Exports

The ROPL-01 (previously the Type 19 report) is a report requested by HMRC detailing all the revenue for your landlords within the tax year.

Acquaint's HMRC Export function produces export files for HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) in their expected format. Access this from the Financial tab click HMRC Exports.

How to generate HMRC Exports

  1. Select Bank Account it is being run for

  2. Specify the financial year Start Date and End Date

  3. The Landlords filter :

  • Resident Landlords

  • Non Resident Landlords - Don Not Deduct Tax Handled by 3rd Party

  • Non Resident Landlords Tax Deducted - Deduct Tax - Balance Minus Expenses

  • All Landlords

Select the Output Type from the following:

  • Statutory Return (ROPL-01) - previously known as Section 19 - This lists all Tenants and how much each Landlord received, showing a gross amount.

  • NRL export

Use this Statutory Return (ROPL-01) to send information about rents and other payments arising from land, if you receive a statutory notice from HMRC.

If you find a Landlord isn’t showing and you believe it should please check for these first:

  • all landlords that have received rent (either from the tenant or the council via rent benefit) within the selected time period,

  • all current landlords where they own a lettings property that's available, under offer, or completed that has been added between the selected time period
