Macros are saved combinations of a report type and its associated filter settings. They allow users to quickly regenerate frequently used reports without manually reapplying filters each time.

🛠️ How to Create a Macro in Acquaint

A Macro in Acquaint is a saved combination of a report and its filter settings. It allows you to quickly re-run commonly used reports without manually reapplying filters each time.

✅ Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open the Report Viewer

  • Navigate to the Main Tab → More → Reports , depending on the type of report you want to save.

2. Select Your Report

  • Choose the report you want to run (e.g., Product Sales Report, Appointment Analysis, etc.).

3. Apply Filters

  • Set your desired filters:

    • Date Range

    • User

    • Site/Branch

    • Detail Level

    • Any other relevant criteria

4. Run the Report

  • Click Run to generate the report and confirm that the output matches your expectations.

5. Save as Macro

  • Look for the Save Macro option (usually located in the bottom right of the page).

  • Enter a name for your macro that clearly describes its purpose (e.g., Monthly Sales by Branch).

  • Optionally, add a description for future reference.

6. Confirm & Save

  • Click Save to store the macro. It will now appear in your Macros list for quick access.

📂 Accessing Saved Macros

To run a saved macro:

  • Go to the Load Macro button within the Reports screen.

  • Select your macro from the list.

  • Click Run — the report will generate instantly using the saved filters.
