📝 SMS Text Templates Overview
SMS Text Templates allow you to create reusable messages with personalized content using Merge Fields. These templates streamline communication and ensure consistency across your SMS outreach.
🔧 Accessing SMS Text Templates
To manage templates:
Navigate to the Configuration & Administration tab on the ribbon menu
Click the Templates icon
Select SMS Texts
You can create an unlimited number of templates at any time.
📂 Template Fields & Settings
Each SMS Text Template includes configurable options across two tabs:
General Details Tab
Description: A brief summary of the template’s purpose
Group: Categorize the template (e.g. General, Sales, Lettings)
Flag Contacts: When enabled, creates a record in the Correspondence tab for each contact the SMS is sent to
Follow-up Task Interval: Automatically generates a follow-up task for the sender, scheduled X days after the message is sent
Inactive: Mark the template as inactive to remove it from selection lists without deleting it
SMS Text Options Tab
Message: Compose the SMS content
Merge Fields: Personalize messages (e.g. Dear John) by clicking Insert Field
📏 SMS Length & Credit Usage
A standard SMS message is 160 characters
Messages exceeding this limit will be sent as multiple texts, consuming additional credits
These multi-part messages are automatically reassembled on the recipient’s device and appear as a single message
