Desktop Alerts

Desktop Alerts provide a discreet notification pop-up window with information for the following:

  • Appointment Reminders

  • Task Assignments

  • Individual Notes & Tasks for Contacts or Properties. Each Note / Task needs to be ticked as a Desktop Alert for this to occur.

  • Incoming Telephone Calls (if TAPI compliant telephone system is present)


Example Uses:

You want to add an alert to a Contact record that pops up every time the Contact's record is displayed to remind you of something.

  1. Find the Contact

  2. Click Note or Task

  3. Click Desktop Alert


You want a Desktop Alert to appear against a Landlord that will appear each time one of their Property records are displayed.

  1. Find the Landlord

  2. Click Note or Task

  3. Select Desktop Alert

  4. The Show Desktop Alert On Properties check box will appear, select it.


Remove Desktop Alerts

To stop Desktop Alerts from appearing find the Note/Task against the Contact record and clear the Show Desktop Alert On Properties check box.

Desktop Alerts are sometimes referred to a Toast due to the way they appear from the bottom of the screen like Toast popping out of a Toaster.

You can close the alert by clicking on the X in the top right-hand corner or click on the item within the alert will take you directly to the item to take further action.
