User Type

🔐 User Types in Acquaint

Each User in Acquaint is assigned a User Type, which defines the functions and processes they are permitted to access. For example:

  • A Manager may have full access to all features

  • An Office Junior may be restricted to basic tasks

⚙️ Accessing & Managing User Types

User Types can be managed directly from the User Settings tab on the Contact screen for any User. You can create new User Types at any time, and there is no limit to how many you can define.

🧩 User Type Fields

Each User Type includes the following:

  • Description – A brief label or summary of the role

  • System Administrator – If ticked, grants full access to all functions and processes

  • Permissions – A customizable list of features that can be enabled individually by selecting checkboxes

🛠 Default Setup

Acquaint automatically creates a default System Administrator User Type with full permissions enabled.
