My Deposits Troubleshooting

 Before Sending

In order to be allowed to send a tenancy to MyDeposits:

  1. The Deposit Scheme System Configuration setting (found in Lettings Group) must be set to either MyDeposits UK or MyDepositsScotland (this will be set after successfully authenticating

  2. The Tenancy must not already have a value saved in the Deposit Scheme id field - against the Tenancy and check the field.

  3. The Branch must be authenticated with the matching scheme

  4. For Custodial Tenancies the Custodial Authentication is needed

  5. For Insured Tenancies the Custodial Authentication is needed

  6. Text has not been manually entered in the Deposit Scheme ID field against a Tenancy as this must be populated by MyDeposits.

📞 Phone Numbers

  • If provided, phone numbers must be numeric only

  • Must contain between 10 and 15 characters


🧑‍💼 Landlord Requirements

🔹 All Landlords (General)

  • First Name

  • Last Name

🔹 Private Landlords (for Insured Deposits or Scottish Properties)

  • First line of Home Address

  • Home Postcode

  • Email address or Mobile phone number

🔹 Company Landlords

  • Company Name

  • First line of Business Address

  • Business Postcode


🏠 Property Requirements

  • First line of Address

  • Postcode

  • Property Type must be one of the following:

    • HOUSE

    • FLAT

    • MAISONETTE

    • ROOM

  • The selected type must match the type configured in Acquaint


👥 Tenant Requirements

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • First line of Home or Business Address

  • Home or Business Postcode

  • Email address

🔹 Additional Requirement for Insured Deposits

  • At least one phone number must be provided
